Upcoming Series Gotham: The Rise of Detective Gotham Cleaning the Streets of Gotham
The upcoming series is set to premiere on September 22nd this year where Ben McKenzie is going to star as Captain Gordon, the city's police commissioner. He will also be the main protagonist of the show for those who thought this is just another Batman story. It is yet it is not. This is an origin story o f the way the DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes came to be who they were at the present. Therefore, it will feature a setting like 'before there was Batman, there was Gotham.
The Gotham series follows the rise of Detective Gordon within a corrupt and dangerous city that is on the edge of completely yielding to crime. Therefore, Bruce Wayne will be in the story, after all it is a DC comics story on Gotham, but his role will be in the background as the context is he is in his teenage years and his role may become increased as he grows stronger and more experienced with dealing with two sides of life.
The cast of the series will include Seline Kyle as Catwoman and David Mazouz as teenage Bruce Wayne: the future Batman. Being an origin story all perspectives of the script are also said to be exploited. The story will also focus on the origin stories of the main villains in the batman franchise. This includes the Penguin who will be a large part of the initial story. Other introductions include Robin Lord Taylor playing a polite psychopath. Jada Pinkett Smith is also set to play a role in the series: Fish Mooney. We will also come to learn about circumstances that led to the creation of the villain personas like the Riddler, and of course the Joker.
