John Schneider’s "Fox & Friends" Appearance Crashes Website

Actor and chart-topping country artist John Schneider appeared on Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends earlier today, to promote the upcoming release of his new holiday film, Christmas Cars, releasing November 29th from Maven Entertainment. Immediately following the live appearance, unprecedented demand from fans attempting to order a copy of the movie overwhelmed the servers at JohnSchneiderStudios.com and ultimately crashed the website, which has since been restored.

"As you can imagine, we're having a flood of orders coming through the store and the store might not be able to handle it," said Schneider on his official Facebook page. "If you have trouble ordering please try and try again. So excited about this new publicity we're getting on this fantastic movie!"
Schneider wrote, directed and stars in this semi-autobiographical film featuring the General Lee - the iconic car driven by Schneider who starred as "Bo Duke" in The Dukes of Hazzard which ran for seven seasons from 1979 to 1985. In Christmas Cars, Schneider plays a former TV star that is forced to rebuild after a storm destroys his home and studio. To save the day in time for Christmas, he begins selling die-cast replicas of the General Lee for the 40th anniversary of the series. After selling out of cars, online detractors call for a boycott, claiming that the flag painted on the vehicle's roof is rooted in intolerance and racism.
Schneider has never shied away from his defense of the rebel flag on The Dukes of Hazzard's iconic General Lee.
"I don't know anyone that doesn't love The Dukes of Hazzard," Schneider told the Fox & Friends hosts, "and yet because of the flag on my car, I am a tacit racist. I'm an intolerant person... What in the world are they thinking? I don't get it."
"The rebel flag is part of the General Lee, and it should stay there," Schneider told PopCulture.com earlier this month. "Taking it off indicates that in some way, you are in agreement with some of these idiots out there who say the show was a racist show, and the General Lee knowingly had a racist symbol on it. That could not be further from the truth. I know because I am a Duke."
In addition to the upcoming film, Schneider's first ever memoir, John Schneider: My Life, My Way, will be released on November 15th. The autobiography provides an in-depth look at his rise to fame in the General Lee and includes never-before-told stories, including a chapter on his experiences living with Johnny Cash.
The Dukes of Hazzard star's extensive acting career also includes the hit series Smallville and his current series, Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots - the #1 primetime series on cable on Tuesday nights. Schneider was also a fan favorite on Dancing with the Stars last fall.
Schneider has over 20 albums to his credit and four #1 singles on the Billboard Country chart. He returned to country music in 2018 with The Odyssey, an ambitious 52-song project, plus Greatest Hits...Still, and the holiday EP, Merry Christmas Baby. He continued releasing new music this year with the southern rock inspired Redneck Rebel and the just-released inspirational album, Recycling Grace.
It's also worth noting that Schneider co-founded the Children's Miracle Network - a non-profit organization that raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues. Founded in 1983, they have raised more than $7 billion dollars (with over $409 million in 2018 alone) for medical research and community awareness of children's health issues, which is distributed directly to a network of 170 children's hospitals.
