Samsung Galaxy S5 vs LG G3 Release Date 2014, Price, Specs & Gold Body Options
The new Samsung Galaxy S5 model, the Samsung Galaxy 5S Prime (aka Galaxy F) is on it's way. Price cuts have hit the current Samsung smartphones recently, which gives another indicator that a new high end model is getting ready to release, which many think will be the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime.
The first official LG G3 release date details for US buyers came earlier this week from T-Mobile. It confirmed the new G3 will hit its shelves starting on July 16th.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime/LG G3 Specs: The Galaxy S5 Prime will have higher specs Galaxy S5 and also have a metal/aluminium finish body after the Galaxy S5 was criticised for their plastic build quality. The Galaxy S5 Prime could feature a high resolution (2560 x 1440) on a slightly smaller display - 5.2in compared to 5.5in. The battery of LG G3 is durable and replaceable. It comes with a 3000 mAh capacity that can be charged through Wi-Fi.
The Galaxy S5 Prime will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM, which are all upgrade specs from the Galaxy S5 which supports a Snapdragon 801, Adreno 330 and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S5 Prime will come preloaded with Android 4.4.3 KitKat and, no doubt, Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. The Galaxy S5 Prime will retain the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor found on its predecessor. It will have a flap covering the microUSB port so it looks like it's also dust- and waterproof. LG G3's hardware is designed with quad core 400 CPU Krait along with 801 Snapdragon Qualcomm, in addition to 2.5 GHz clocked. Its internal storage offers two options - 8 GB and 16 GB and comes with a 2 GB RAM. Users can increase storage up to 32 GB with external microSD card slots running with Optimus UI.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime/LG G3 Price: Price looks like it will cost around $100 more than the current flagship Galaxy S5, as the Prime model has advanced specs. The LG G3 will incorporate a 16 GB internal storage and the price will be around $415, but does not offer any warranty once it is hacked.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime/LG G3 Colors: The LG G3 smartphone is available in five colors - red, blue, black, white and gold. On the other hand, the Galaxy S5 Active comes in three color shades - ruby red, camo green and titanium gray. The Galaxy S5 Prime is reported to be available in a black or silver option. Evleaks has also shown it in a new color: Glowing Gold.
The Galaxy F was seen on the FCC's listings, with a device under model numbers SM-G906S, SM-G906K and SM-G906L having recently been certified for NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Samsung is still expected to release a Galaxy S5 mini, and Galaxy S5 Active as well at some point.
