Rick Lee James and Ted Rastatter Honored by the Great American Song Contest

Rick Lee James and Ted Rastatter's "Advent Hymn (Watching Waiting, Longing)," published by Lifeway Worship, has been chosen by the Great American Song Contest as a top finalist in the Christian/Inspirational category. 

Outstanding songs were discovered in all categories of the 20th Annual Great American Song Contest. GASC Judges reviewed songs by more than 1900 songwriters from around the world. The impressive quality of songwriting made the task of choosing winners enjoyable, but also challenging.

All song finalists scored near the top of their respective categories. 

The song can be found on Rick Lee James's 2016 release, Hymns, Prayers, and Invitations. 

Rick Lee James is an acclaimed singer/songwriter, worship leader, author, speaker and podcast host. James' recordings include Workin' On Commission, A Little Lower Than The Angels, Christmas Songs, Changes, Basement Psalms Live, and Hymns, Prayers & Invitations. His 2018 hit, "Advent Hymn," remained at #1 on Christian Radio Weekly's "CRW Adds Chart" for seven consecutive weeks.
