Jon Stickely Trio Signs with Organic Records
The innovative and progressive Jon Stickely Trio crafts genre-defying acoustic music that is intelligent, joyful and unconventional. The Asheville, NC-based group is now teaming with OrganicRecords and will begin recording new music in the Spring of 2019 at the label's studios in Arden, NC. Rooted in the traditions of Bluegrass but branching into and many times merging styles that include Gypsy jazz, avant garde, rock and even EDM, this trio has become festival and music hall performing favorites. A rapidly rising and rabid fan base has resulted from their national touring schedule and this new recording will furnish a series of singles eventually resulting in the band's fifth album.
"We are thrilled about starting this new relationship with Organic Records," saysJon Stickley. "Their supportive team of professionals really gets our music and understands what we are trying to do as a band. Everything I've heard come out of their studio sounds beautiful and we can't wait to get to work!"
The Jon Stickley Trio, which also features Lyndsay Pruett on violin and Hunter Deacon on drums, transcends the standards of acoustic music with a wide range of influences integrated into a signature style.
"I am very excited about joining forces with Organic Records in part for the opportunity to record our music at Crossroads Studios," says Pruett. "I have recorded on several projects there in the past with Scott Barnett as the engineer. Every time I have been incredibly pleased with the tone of my instrument we've gotten as well the positive attitude held throughout the recording process."

About The Jon Stickley Trio
Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, who's deep grooves, innovative flatpicking, and sultry-spacy violin moves the listener's head, heart, and feet. "It's not your father's acoustic-guitar music-although Stickley's pop showed him his first chords when he was 12 years old. Instead, Stickley's Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres-all thoroughly integrated into a personal style," writes Guitar Player Magazine. With inspiration ranging from Green Day to Duran Duran to Tony Rice to Nirvana, Grateful Dead, David Grisman and beyond, the Trio, which features violinist Lyndsay Pruett and drummer Hunter Deacon, is making waves with their unique sound. Along with releasing two full length albums and one EP in the past few years, the Trio has zig-zagged the nation, though they still call Asheville, NC home. Stickley says, "The Trio feels fresher and hotter than ever, we've hit our stride in terms of creating tunes that are uniquely us and that's a really exciting place to be musically."
