Half Mile Home Earns their Third Consecutive Billboard Top 20 Hit with "This Far"

The song is also the Most Increased Song at Gospel radio with +114 spins and was the FlatOut Hit Song of the week on the nationally syndicated The Willie Moore, Jr. Show last week. Released on September 29 on all digital outlets including iTunes, AppleMusic and AmazonMusic "This Far" was inspired by the experience of group member Todd Burtonafter one of his sons Treyvon Burton survived being shot in the head last year in Goodyear Heights in Akron, OH. This past October, Burton and his wife were in Chicago celebrating his 43rd birthday when a family friend called and said someone had found the body of Burton's other son, his 21-year-old, Deandre "Dre" Andrus, who was shot to death just a few blocks away from where his other son was shot and survived. According to an earlier interview Half Mile Home plans to use their national platform to spread a two-pronged message: Accept that God is in control, but that God also gives people choices and decisions they make can either lengthen or shorten their lives. Additionally, Half Mile Home's previous radio single, "Thinking of Me," which reached the Top 15 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay Chart earlier this year recevied an honor on Billboard's 2017 Year-End Top 50 Gospel chart ranking No.49 for Gospel Airplay Songs. Half Mile Home launched onto the scene in 2004, with their first studio album, The Movement (Malaco Records). Their second studio album, Change My Lyfe(Bungalo/Universal) was released in 2010, while the third studio album, Church Muzik & Inspiration (Church Boy Muzik/Selecto Hits), was released in 2013 and peaked at No.9 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart. Their latest offering Don't Judge Me reached No. 11 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart and boasted two Billboard Top 15 radio singles "More Than Enuff" (No. 11) and "Thinking Of Me" (No. 15).
