Alan Jackson Rules the Christian Album Chart with "Precious Memories Collection"

Veteran singer and songwriter Alan Jackson not only has countless #1s on the country charts, but he's also a tour de force in Christian music too. This week, Jackson's inspirational Precious Memories Collection ascends 3-1 in its 18th week on Billboard's Christian Album chart. The set ranks at No. 16 on Top Country Albums after reaching a No. 11 peak a week ago.
The Top Christian Albums coronation marks Jackson's third on the chart, as each prior Precious Memories installation topped the survey. The original Precious Memories debuted at the summit on March 18, 2006, and Precious Memories Volume ll bowed at No. 1 on April 13, 2013. (The sets peaked at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on Top Country Albums.)
Re-released by Gaither Music, the new Precious Memories Collection, includes both LPs. It was originally a Walmart exclusive, starting at No. 17 on Top Christian Albums on Dec. 17, 2016. The combined effort has been in wide release since late August.
"It is a joy to partner with Alan Jackson on this DVD," stated Gaither Music Group founder and gospel music legend Bill Gaither. "As a songwriter, I really appreciate the beauty of a well-written song; and Alan has been showing the world for a long time how to write great songs. On this recording, he went back to songs that both of us treasure-hymns of the church-with lyrics that keep on inspiring us with their timeless messages."
