Jhené Aiko Stops Atlanta Show To Get Young Fan Medical Care

Jhené Aiko was in the middle of a soulful R&B set the other night in Atlanta when a medical emergency brought her show to a screeching halt. The gig at The Buckhead Theatre was going very well until the artist spotted a young person suffering a seizure a couple of feet back from the stage. Aiko immediately stopped singing and called for help.
Thankfully, the medical personnel who were already on hand at the venue. They were able to take the fan and get her out of harm's way without incident, although sources say that the youngster in question was still shaking from the aftereffects of the seizure. That one person wasn't the singers only concern either. She told the audience a few times that she wanted everyone to be safe and Aiko reminded fans who were present about the dangers of strobe lights and how they can trigger seizure-like reactions if you're not careful. After issuing that warning the music resumed and Aiko continued on with her vocally fantastic performance.
The singer is riding a personal high since surprising everyone with the release of her sophomore album last Friday. Trip is inspired by the emotional journey that Aiko has experienced since her brother's tragic passing. The 22-song project features Brandy ("Ascension"), Big Sean ("Moments"), John Mayer ("New Balance"), Swae Lee ("Sativa"), and Kurupt ("Never Call Me") and has already garnered rave reviews.
Aiko is having a fantastically busy work week but she hasn't forgotten about that young fan. She actually tweeted asking for an update on their condition from anyone that might have one. Isn't it kind of refreshing to see a performer continue to care about a complete stranger, even days after their paths crossed? It shows that Aiko's heart might actually be even bigger than her talent.
