Tori Kelly Joins Lecrae At The Top Of Billboard's Hot Christian Songs With 'I'll Find You'

The vocal pairing of Tori Kelly and Lecrae seems to be about as natural as it gets. The rapper and pop star first performed together back in June and they then realized that their mutual desire to make positive, meaningful music coupled with natural chemistry meant that a collaboration was inevitable. "I'll Find You" was born and it is currently sitting atop Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart.
The song first dropped in late June and at the time the rapper explained that there was an important meaning behind it.
"Life is a precious gift. A gift we often take for granted until it is threatened. Pain can be a haunting reminder to appreciate every waking moment. So we wrote a song to share our hope in the midst of that pain. At the time of this song's composition, some of our loved ones were battling cancer. We wanted to encourage them to hold on and tell them we are here waiting, hoping, praying, and fighting with them. Some have been released from their pain forever, others are still fighting. Hold on," Lecrae wrote in an Instagram post right after announcing the duet with Kelly.
Lecrae has talked in the past about how not many mainstream artists are willing to put their Christian values out there because it almost makes the industry expect less of their talent. He has admired Kelly's charged at Billboard's pop charts while still being honest about who she really is. If leading by example is a real thing, then it seems that artists like Lecrae and Kelly would surely be helping to pave the way for younger singers to see that it's okay to be true to themselves while still doing what they love most of all. It's refreshing to see these two not sacrifice their values for a shot at fame, isn't it?
