Trey Ivey Steps into New Role

StowTown Records is pleased to announce exciting news about a brand new chapter for multi-talented artist Trey Ivey and his family. This month, Trey began his new role as Staff Pianist and Arranger/Orchestrator. "
First Baptist Indian Trail, NC, is thrilled to have Trey Ivey join our staff as our Staff Pianist and Arranger/Orchestrator. Trey is one of the finest young musicians in the country, and we look forward to having him on our Music Ministry team," said Rev. Sammy Thomas, Executive Pastor. "He has great talent and abilities, combined with the heart of a servant. I look forward to seeing God use him here in a great way in the years ahead."
At 27, Trey already has an impressive resume. In Southern Gospel circles, he is probably best known for the more than six years he spent traveling with Legacy Five as their pianist. But many fans might not know that Trey is also a permanent member of the Blue Jean Band on the nationally syndicated television hit The Music City Show. Additionally, he has been working these last couple of years as a producer and arranger for various artists. While he intends to continue with these most recent opportunities, Ivey is pleased to settle into this church position at Indian Trail.
"Lauren and I are thrilled about this new opportunity!" said Ivey. "This is a great situation for me to be able to work with a big choir, big band and big orchestra. I am very excited! I still want to work and produce for some of the groups I have been working with up to this point, because I love Southern Gospel," added Trey. "This church is giving me the flexibility to continue to do that."
"I've been working with Trey on several productions over the past year, and I'm really looking forward to what the future holds," said StowTown Records co-founder Wayne Haun.
"I love the fact that his church staff understands the calling Trey has to help artists with their ministries.""I have had the privilege to call Trey a friend for several years, and have been continually impressed with his attention to detail, his level of excellence and his heartbeat for music and ministry," said Dr. Matthew C. Slemp, Minister of Music. "Trey will be at the helm of the piano each week while also writing, arranging and creating new and innovative music to enhance our weekly worship experience. We welcome Trey, along with his wife, Lauren, and their beautiful daughter, Emerson, to our church and to the Music Ministry family," Slemp concluded.
Dr. Mike Whitson, Senior Pastor at FBC Indian Trail, is equally thrilled with the arrival of such a talented artist who brings so much experience from the gospel music industry. "The addition of Trey Ivey to the ministry team of First Baptist Indian Trail will certainly position us to accomplish our God-given assignment to lead everyone we meet into an everyday walk with Christ. We greatly look forward to serving the Lord together with Trey for many years to come."
