Celebrities Unite To Help End Child Hunger Around The World – Join Them For Red Nose Day

Some of the biggest names in both film and television, including the cast of the beloved holiday film "Love Actually" are all putting on red noses this Thursday, May 25 for Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is about coming together, to have fun, and make a difference for kids in need. The goal is to end child poverty - one nose at a time.
Organizations and programs that benefit from Red Nose Day include: Save The Children, Feeding America, Oxfam, Covenant House and charity: water. According to Covenant House, which is a Christian charity, every year, more than 2 million kids in America will face a period of homelessness. Fifty-seven percent of homeless kids spend at least one day every month without food.
Additionally, these kids and teens are in danger of human traffickers. A recent study which you can find on the Covenant House website states that nearly 1 in 5 of the homeless youth they interviewed were victims of human traffickers. Red Nose Day hopes to impact and change the lives of these children in need through fundraising efforts, and for those in America through a special night of television featuring numerous celebrities.Academy Award winner Julia Roberts, adventurer Bear Grylls, Ben Affleck, and many other stars will participate in a Red Nose Day-themed programming throughout the night on May 25 starting at 8/7c on NBC television.
The highly anticipated ten-minute short reunion sequel to the holiday classic "Love Actually" will also air that evening featuring a cast that includes Liam Neeson, Kiera Knightly, and Andrew Lincoln - all in support of Red Nose Day and ending child poverty. Below, please find a special video featuring musician Ed Sheeran and a little girl named Peaches. The video is a testament to the inner strength and hope that lies within all children - even those in challenging circumstances. Peaches lost her father during the Ebola crisis in Liberia, and has been unable to go to school since his death. She sings to honor her father's memory, and shares with Ed her desire to return to school, to become a musician, and to use her voice to sing in churches.
