Willie Sawrey Joins Dixie Melody Boys

Kinston, NC-SGMA Hall of Fame member and Dixie Melody Boys owner Ed O' Neal is pleased to announce the addition of new baritone vocalist Willie Sawrey. Willie and wife, Dana, reside in Mt. Olive, NC with sons Will (22), Nick (17), and Ethan (11). For the last 28 years, Willie sang regionally with the Southern Ambassadors and King's Messengers. He owns and operates the home renovation company, Floors and More, in conjunction with his new position with the legendary quartet.
Ed O' Neal states, "While we were taking auditions, Willie was gracious enough to fill in with the group. He lives about 30 miles from me and I've always liked him, but I figured since he owned his own business, he wouldn't be able to commit to our traveling schedule. The longer he helped us out, the more I liked him and I'm thrilled he was able to make arrangements to join the quartet on a full-time basis."
Sawrey's first official date will find him ringing in the New Year with the Dixie Melody Boys on December 31, 2016.
