‘Can You Duet’ Contestants Send Christmas Love to Joey + Rory

8 years ago come January, Joey + Rory Feek made a name for themselves on CMT's Can You Duet. Their appearance won them a legion of fans which later launched their country music and Christian music career. They came in third place on the CMT talent show and later that year signed to a recording contract with Vanguard Records. Joey + Rory released their debut single "Cheater, Cheater" that year, and peaked at No. 30 on the country singles charts with it. They went on to release 6 albums, one of which is a Christian-content album entitled Inspired: Songs of Faith & Family.
This year, as Joey and Rory Feek continue to cope with Joey Feek's terminal cancer, competitors from the show's two seasons gathered together to send some Christmas cheer to the duo. Acts from both seasons of Can You Duet came together in mid-December to film themselves performing "It Must Be Christmas."
At the end of the video, each former cast and crew member talk into the camera, wishing Joey and Rory a Merry Christmas. Those who appeared in the video include David Oakleaf, Nick Brownell, Caitlynn Lynn, Meghan Linsey, Julia Salter, Margaret and Garrett Smith, Ryan Larkin, Will Snyder, Marylynne and Brad Stella, Sixwire, Mike King, Tom Zaleski, Doug Forbes, Larry Boothby, and Jeremiah Richey.
Joey Feek is suffering from Stage IV cervical cancer. After a round of chemo and radiation therapy, doctors have discovered that the cancer has spread. The Feeks decided not to undergo more treatment and they have gone home to live. Nevertheless, the couple have decided not to give up. Come Valentine's Day, they will release their new hymns CD Hymns That Are Important to Us, with proceeds benefiting the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation, in honor of the Feeks' daughter Indiana's best friend Scout, who has Loeys-Dietz Syndrome.
