Chris Tomlin Joins Michael W. Smith & Hillsong in Having 2 Albums On Billboard's Christian Album Chart

Chris Tomlin joins Michael W. Smith and Hillsong in having two albums charting in the top 10 of Billboard's Christian Albums Chart. This week, two of Tomlin's albums are in the Top 10: for a fifth straight week.Adore: Christmas Songs of Worship steps 2-1 for a third week at the summit (11,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen Music), after opening atop the Nov. 14 list. Meanwhile Tomlin's Love Ran Red slips 7-8 in its 57th week on the survey (4,000).
Recently, there are on two acts that could manage two albums in the Top 10: the first is, Hillsong linked 10 consecutive weeks with two titles in the chart's top 10 simultaneously in July-September 2014 .While, Michael W. Smith strung together 14 frames with two concurrent top 10s in 2002-03.
"I'm thrilled with the success we're seeing from Chris," says Capitol Christian Music Group vp promotion Grant Hubbard. "He continues to deliver hits for our format that not only connect to the radio consumer, but songs that are sung in churches around the world. He is a rare artist."
The album was recorded live at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville and features special guests Lauren Daigle, All Sons & Daughters and Kristyn Getty.
Chris Tomlin is currently on the second leg of what's already been the biggest tour of his career, the "Love Ran Red Tour." Featuring special guests Rend Collective, the 22-city tour kicked off in Nashville earlier this month. So far, the tour has helped raise more than $700K for CURE International, which helps fund surgeries for children with physical disabilities in developing countries. Tomlin has partnered with CURE for the "Love Ran Red Tour," and this season, he is giving away ADORE: Christmas Songs Of Worship to anyone who donates $50 or more to the organization.
