New Single from Ray Price Gets Released After the Crooner's Second Death Anniversary

December 16th will mark the second anniversary since country crooner Ray Price passed away. In honor of the memory of Price, Amerimonte Records will be releasing a fifth single from the Beauty Is...The Final Sessions album in December - "No More Songs To Sing."
The single to be released to radio from the album, the track was written by three of Country Music's most celebrated songwriters - Robert Ellis Orrall, Roger Springer, and Tony Ramey. The song was sent to radio via CDX in November, with physical copies going out to stations on December 7. The introspective cut shows that even at age 87 - in the midst of a battle with pancreatic cancer - Ray Price was still a singer's singer.
The new single definitely strikes an emotional memory to Janie Price, who said that "No More Songs To Sing" was like a walk down memory lane for me. Listening to Ray sing this beautiful song was as if he was here again and I recalled the times he spoke these very words to me - "Honey, someday when I am done singing, we'll do all the things we planned." Ray yearned to live the life he called a "Regular Joe". As hard as he tried, he could not deny his greatest love - to sing. As fate would have it, Beauty Is...The Final Sessions was his last album. All the while, Ray was busy planning his next album and choosing the songs he wanted to sing. Ray's dream was that his music would live on. My hope is that every day, someone, somewhere, will hear Ray Price singing and they, like Ray, will say "There'll never be a day when there's No More Songs To Sing."
Beauty Is...The Final Sessions is the final chapter of one of America's most celebrated musical careers. Hitting the Billboard Country singles chart in 1952 with the No. 3 ranked "Talk To Your Heart," Price remained a musical force for over six decades. He appeared in the Top-40 of the singles charts over 75 times in his recording career. In the spring of 2014, the album helped Price obtain his highest solo peak on the album charts in thirty-three years. Ray Price personified the word diverse in his career, with his recordings running the musical gamut - from Honky-Tonk to Western Swing to Crossover-styled recordings such as "Danny Boy" and "You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me." His 1970 recording of Kris Kristofferson's "For The Good Times" remains one of the format's most enduring classics.
BEAUTY IS... is available at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® locations, Hastings, Walmart, and online retailers including Amazon.
About Ray Price:
Born in 1926 in Peach, Texas, Ray Price defined two major eras of Country music. His barroom Shuffle classics made him a master of the honky-tonk style of the early 1950s, and a cornerstone of theNashville Sound-era with a string of smooth ballads throughout the '60s and '70s. Best known for his iconic rendering of the Kristofferson smash "For The Good Times," the Cherokee Cowboy charted over 100 times with 46 Top Ten hits, nine #1 singles and five #1 albums. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Ray enjoyed Gold and Platinum album sales, won two Grammy® awards, took home a CMA trophy, earned two ACM awards - and his place in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
A "gentlemen's gentleman," Price fought pancreatic cancer to complete his final album project with legendary producer and longtime friend Fred Foster.
