Joey Feek of Joey + Rory Has Been Released from the Hospital

Joey Feek, one half of the Christian country duo Joey + Rory, recently had surgery after being diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer. After a 10-hour surgery at the Chicago's Cancer Treatement Centers of America, she is now released from the hospital and heading home.
On Saturday (July 18), Rory Feek posted a message on Facebook, along with a photo of his beloved wife: " ... almost home!! Joey was released from the hospital yesterday and will stay with us at a hotel nearby for a day or two before we all head home."
According to huband Rory, the surgery is believed to have gone well: The surgeon was able to remove all of the main tumor, two infected lymph nodes and other places that were affected. Intra-operative radiation was also performed. Nevertheless, Joey will be back in Chicago very shortly for five weeks of chemo and radiation and 18 weeks of more aggressive chemo.
"God has a plan, and His plan is our plan," Rory Feek wrote when first revealing the news of his wife's cancer's return. "Each day that we're given is a beautiful gift from Him to us. And while we will pray each day for a miracle, we're gonna live each day as if it's a miracle. And it is."
Let's continue to pray for the Feek family.
