George Strait's "Let It Go" Speaks of Not Building Treasures Here on Earth (Listen Here)

With songs like "I Met God Today" and "I Found Jesus on the Jailhouse Floor," George Strait has had his share of inspirational songs. His brand new single "Let It Go" (no relation to Disney's "Frozen") is another ode that sets to music Jesus' teaching of not storing treasures here on earth. Written by Strait, his son Bubba and Keith Gattis, "Let It Go" is Strait's brand new single after not releasing a new single in 2014.
"Time flies while you save it all up / But someday, this'll all be dust / It's all just stuff / It ain't ever enough / And you can't take it with you," Strait croons, "so you might as well just / Let it go / Yeah, you really oughta let it go / Let it all wash on under the bridge / Blow it a kiss / Give it a rest 'cause it is what it is."
Though this country superstar has stopped touring, fans can expect much more music from the singer, as he signed a five-album deal with longtime label MCA in 2013.
Strait will perform "Let It Go" at the 2015 ACM Awards, where he'll also receive a prestigious 50th Anniversary Milestone Award.
"Let It Go" is available for purchase on iTunes.
