Rick Warren is the Guest Preacher for Mars Hill's Final Service; Mark Driscoll Resurfaces with His New Website

December 28th will be the final Sunday for Mars Hill Church before it finally dissolves. Rick Warren, senior pastor of Saddleback Church, will be the guest preacher for the Seattle megachurch. Pastor Rick will be preaching the church's final sermon based on John 12:24. "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit." John 12:24
According to the church's website, they hope this final sermon will be memorable: "Our hope is that this timely message will be an encouragement for the people that have called Mars Hill Church their home, as we reflect on the great impact our church has had on the kingdom of God, as well as an encouragement for the new churches emerging out of Mars Hill, and the potential they have to continue bearing much fruit."
Meanwhile,Mars Hill Church's former senior pastor Mark Driscoll has just launched a new website. Markdriscoll.org features many of Driscoll's resources, including the sermons he had had preached at the church. In the biography, this is what it says, "Pastor Mark Driscoll is a Jesus-following, mission-leading, church-serving, people-loving, Bible-preaching pastor. In 2010, Preaching magazine named him one of the 25 most influential pastors of the past 25 years."
Nevertheless, Driscoll is asking for money to keep the website going and so that others can have more resources from him.
