Cheri Keaggy Surpasses Her Kickstarter Goal for Her Forthcoming Album

Cheri Keaggy in raising support for her ninth album "No Longer My Own" is excited to announce that she has has surpassed her initial goal of $25,000. All additional funds raised until the deadline tonight will be used for marketing and other expenses related to the CD.
"One of my friends said to me recently, 'What God orders, He pays for.' This has been an incredible journey to see God do just that!" says Keaggy. "I can't wait to get back into the studio to see No Longer My Own come to fruition."
Keaggy is no stranger to Kickstarter, having employed it to fund her 2012 CD, So I Can Tell. She is both humbled and excited by the number of doors that opened for ministry through concerts, church services, women's events, TV appearances, interviews, and radio airplay as a direct result of So I Can Tell, but shesays the story is far from over. With a quiver full of new songs that are burning in her soul, Keaggy prays No Longer My Own will inspire and embolden fellow saints to live more fearlessly for Christ.
Speaking exclusively with Hallels, Keaggy reveals her thoughts on the album's title track. "I think the theme is still developing, but I feel strongly about the title cut, "No Longer My Own", a song inspired by A Covenant Prayer popularized by John Wesley. But, in general, acknowledging the troubled times we are living in, I believe this album will serve to embolden saints to live more fearlessly for Christ."
Using her piano as a pulpit from which to preach the Gospel, Keaggy has already spent considerable time in the studio with her uncle, Gospel Music Hall of Famer and guitar legend Phil Keaggy, prepping new songs for the project. Listeners can look forward to such vertically oriented songs of adoration as "Breathing Your Air," prayerful petitions like "Jesus, One and Only," thankful exultations like "No Longer My Own," and pensive intercessions like "Overcome."
