V3 revealed that Apple and Samsung are the topmost players in smartphone industries in which both are unwilling to yield and both of them asserting superiority in the field.
Let's consider Apple's iPhone 6 in comparison with Samsung's Galaxy S5. Both are certified to be efficient. Galaxy S5 has a larger built than iPhone 6, measuring 142x73x8.1mm and 145g and the latter 138x67x6.9mm and weighing 128g only. The smaller the dimension, the comfortable it is for the user to hold.
Galaxy S5 is IP67 certified, hence, it is assumed to be capable of handling damage than iPhone6. Although Galaxy S5 is water and scratch resistant, its metallic side is susceptible to chipping, and backplate could fall off when dropped accidentally or when slightly bumped. Both have excellent screen technologies. In terms of colour balance level and contrast, Galaxy S5 has 5.1in, 1920x1080, 432ppi, Super Amoled touchscreen which seemed to be outranked by iPhone 6's 4.7in 1334x750 pixels 326ppi Retina HD display.
Android 4.4 Kitkat runs the Galaxy S5 while iPhone 6 has the Apple's iOS 8.1. There is no definite schedule yet, but it is expected that Galaxy S5 will soon upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop. V3 claimed that in terms of pushing updates, Apple software has the advantage because of its "closed management strategy."
Latin Post also revealed key factors that are distinctive to either iPhone 6 or Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy S5 first came out in February 2014, ahead of iPhone 6 which was launched in September 2014. Galaxy S5 features 2.5-GHz quad-core processors, with 2GB RAM which is better than iPhone 6's 1.4-GHz dual core processor with only 1GB RAM.
An add-on feature, Samsung Galaxy S5 is equipped with Fingerprint Scanner and Heart Rate Monitor. In terms of prices, Galaxy S5 approximately costs $599.99 while iPhone 6 starts at $649.
Latin post emphasized Galaxy S5's functionality and considered to be more than just a smartphone.
