The European version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will go on sale from November. The retailer from Dutch online Central point indicated the probable launching schedule of the smartphone. The significant release date is Nov. 16, 2014 as listed by the merchant.
The list of European countries that will release the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active includes Netherland, Austria, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, France, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, UK, Baltics and Nordic countries. The country list was provided by GSMARENA.
The Galaxy S5 Active will be available to order at €577 including VAT. The previous rumor regarding the price was around €629 but the latest price somehow dropped down to €577. Those who have the review if the smartphone will be gifted with a €100 voucher from the Centralpoint firm.
The smartphone features a display size of 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen containing 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The pixel density is very sharp and vivid with 432 pixels per inch. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is provided for the glass protection from unwanted scratches.
Samsung has been dealing with the 16MP camera sensor with its high-end releases. This smartphone also includes in the series. It also features a 16MP back camera and 2MP front camera sensor. The rear camera can record video of 2160p, 1080p at 30 frames per second. The secondary camera can also record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The hardware specification includes powerful components where Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset appears with Quad-Core 2.5GHz Krait 400 chipset. The GPU is powered by Adreno 330 chip.
The memory department includes a 16GB internal storage facility with expandable 128GB memory slot provision. The RAM memory is bound to 2GB slot.
The dimensions of the smartphone measure 5.72 x 2.89 x 0.35 inch and it weighs 170.1g. The IP67 certification indicated the dust and water resistivity of the phone. The phone is also certified by MIL-STD-810G that includes dust, humidity, salt, rain, solar radiation, thermal shock resistivity. The power segment is maintained by a Li-ion 2,800 mAh battery capacity.
