Taylor Swift New Album '1989' Release Date, 'Red' Singer Shares Why She Hasn't Been On A Date in 18 Months

Taylor Swift New Album '1989' Release Date, 'Red' Singer Shares Why She Stopped Dating
Taylor Swift has been doing a lot of press to promote her new album 1989 which releases this week. She also shared on why she quit dating this past year and claims to not have been on a date in over 18 months.
The 24-year-old singer shared with The Sun, "I get stressed when I think about getting into a relationship because I get beat up in the press whenever I go near a boy. So you can understand why I'm taking a bit of a break. A relationship is not in my brain right now. Staying single has been the best thing I have done... I'm not wary of getting into another relationship. I'm just protective of my independence and freedom, more protective than I have been before. I always thought, 'What could be better than to love someone and be loved back?' I finally found what it is to love yourself and not need anyone to love you back."
Fans can purchase Swift's single "Out of the Woods" on iTunes by clicking here. Swift's full album 1989 is scheduled for release on October 27. Swift's first single "Shake It Off" immediately went to No.1 on the Billboard 100.
Taylor Swift will also be joining "The Voice" Season 7 on NBC next week as the key advisor for this season's 'knockout rounds'. Swift tweeted pictures of herself last month with the judges writing, "Way excited about being a 'key advisor' on @NBCTheVoice. Here are some pics of me and the coaches that I key advised."
Swift will help all four teams as the 'key advisor' in the same role that Coldplay singer Chris Martin did last year in Season 6.
You can tune in to all of the action of Season 7 of "The Voice" on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.
