Insidious Chapter 3 Release Date, Plot, and Cast: Whannell's Directorial Debut Film - Will the Third Insidious Horror Live-Up to the Original?
Insidious: Chapter 3 is coming to the theaters on May 29, 2015. This time, the movie is directed by Leigh Whannell, instead of the previous Insidious movie director James Wan. Leigh Whannell is Wan's co-star and writer for the first two Insidious movies. Insidious 3 serves as Whannell's directorial debut.
Focus Features recently launched the teaser trailer of the upcoming Insidious 3, just in time for the Halloween season.
Based on the teaser, Insidious: Chapter 3 follows the previous Insidious: Chapter 2 movie from last year, but serves as a prequel to the first Insidious movie in 2011. The upcoming Insidious movie will revolve around Sue, a teenager girl targeted by a supernatural power, and Sue's family seeks help from a gifted but reluctant ghost psychic, Elise.
The first Insidious movie received good reviews, but the second one wasn't as well received as the first. Fans are hoping the third one will make a great comeback, and remind them of the great scares from the original Insidious film.
One note though. As also mentioned by UPROXX, hopefully we won't get one of those promotional 'reactions' of the supposed viewers of the upcoming Insidious: Chapter 3 movie. It's starting to appear so made-up. Are those reactions even real?
Insidious 3 cast includes Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott (as Sue), Lin Shaye (as Elise Rainier), Ashton Moio (as Hector), Tate Berney (as Alex), Steve Coulter (as Carl), Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Ele Keats and Hayley Kiyoko (as Maggie).
Insidious: Chapter 3 premieres May 29, 2015.
