The Gigantic Nexus 6 Compared With the Massive Samsung Galaxy Note 4
While the new Nexus 6 is not yet released, the Carphone Warehouse is very lucky to have a copy of the new smartphone. According to Techno Buffalo, this British phone-seller company recently released a video comparing the Google's new phablet to the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4, giving the consumer a detailed and broad idea on how big the new Nexus phone is.
This hands-on video shows all angles of the phones. In size, Nexus won with its 6-inch screen. It's taller and wider than Samsung's 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 4. It's also a little thicker because of the curved Moto X-style back.
The two devices actually have a lot of similarities when it comes to its specs and features. Both phones offer a Quad HD AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 3220mAh battery and 3GB of RAM. The Nexus 6 packs 32GB or 64GB of storage with no micro SD slot, while the Note 4 comes with 32GB of expandable storage.
However, the big difference of the two phones is the camera modules. They say, the Samsung's 16MP camera should be sharper than the 13MP camera of Google's latest phone. But Carphone Warehouse claims that the new Nexus 6 actually performs better in lowlight because of its ring flash design. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 4 gives better detail of a video, because of its high megapixel.
In the video, they also compared the charging time of both phone. Although they both have 3, 220mAh battery, the Nexus 6's turbo charging gives the user a 6 hours of usage in 15 minutes of charging only, while the Galaxy Note 4 need 30 minutes of charging. The video also elaborates the Nexus 6's OS which is the very own OS of Google, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, while the Galaxy Note 4 has the Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung TouchWiz.
Like what BGR says, even though Samsung is seems like left behind with this comparison, "not all of Samsung's software is bad, as its camera software is some of the best around and its new health-focused apps like checking your heart rate, is something that you won't get from Google on stock Android."
