Rumors vs Recent LG G3 and G4 Comparison: Will the G Series Continue Its Innovative Stint?
As an electronic company that is known in making high quality appliances, LG is not really in the map of smartphone market. They may have been making phones for a couple of years now, but they have never been in line with the leading companies like Apple, Samsung and even Sony and HTC. But that was changed when LG released it G series, as reported by 3g.
Once a company known for their big and complicated appliances, the Korea-based company is making a noise of its own after it successfully launched its G series, in which, the latest piece now is the LG G3. Because of its innovativeness, their flagship smartphones caught the attention of tech-geeks and even if it has not reach the Apple and Samsung's status yet, LG is closer than where it was before.
Now, rumors about their anticipated LG G4 have been all around forums and blog sites, clearly, many are waiting for their next big offering. Before it is unveiled, let us now compare the LG G4 rumors and the current pride of LG, the LG G3.
According to Christian Today, LG G3 has a 5.5-inch QHD True-IPS LED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels at 538 ppi pixel density resolution. LG G4, on the other hand, has no definite display screen yet but rumors said, it will more likely to have a bigger screen size compared to its predecessor; however, the HD quality will be almost the same.
What has been creating buzz is that LG will use a sapphire screen for the upcoming smartphone. If ever the rumors are true, LG G4 will be the very first phone to have such display but is can also be noted that using such material is indeed pricey.
While G3 is powered by 2.5 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with Adreno 330, G4 is rumored to either use an octa-core Snapdragon 805 or an octa-core Snapdragon 810, as these are the processors used by most of the high-caliber phones that are launched recently.
In terms of storage capacity, G3 currently has 16 GB and 32 GB variants with 3 GB RAM. Because of this, G4 is expected to have the same or maybe bigger internal storage and RAM. It is also expected to have a micro-SD slot as G3 has one, which will allow users to expand the memory up to 128 GB.
G3 is only offered with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options, although it also has 3 GB RAM and the memory of LG G3 can be expanded up to 128 GB with the use of a microSD card. In terms of operating system, the upcoming phone will more likely to have the latest Android L 5.0 OS.
In terms of battery, Tehran Chronicle cited that G3's battery have been subject of some issues like short battery life. In this aspect maybe G4 will be powered by a better battery.
Among all this specifications, the strong rumors said LG G4 will be having a 20MP rear camera which is way better than G3's 13MP snapper.
Keep your ears open as LG G4 is expected to be released early next year and as its launch becomes imminent, expect more rumors and news about the anticipated smartphone.
