'Orange Is the New Black' Season 3 Release Date Announced: Get Exclusive Details Here
Often drama series get so popular that fans can't stop talking about the plot even after the season has ended. That's pretty much what happened with this popular comedy-drama series weaved around the life of Piper in federal prison. Originally, this series was released on Netflix, just like "House of Cards", but now fans demand and even expect that it should be aired on television too.
In fact, recently there were rumors of a next year TV release for "Orange is the New Black' season 3. However, these rumors are completely baseless as Netflix is in no mood to release the upcoming episodes anywhere on the television yet. As for the official release date for the next season, according to Inquisitr, it will be live for streaming from June 2015. Reportedly, all the episodes for this season are expected to be released at one go, so fans can choose to watch as much as they like. Ever since the season 2 finale, fans have been speculating how prison life changes for protagonist Piper along with others in the federal prison.
As far as the theme is concerned, the show creators believe that the upcoming episodes will be based on 'faith' and testing it in their own sarcastic ways. In fact, show co-creator Jenji Kohan even said that this season will feature a lot more violence along with sex scenes. Meanwhile, Laverne Cox (playing Sophia Burset) revealed that the cast has already begun shooting for the upcoming season and it should be completed by the end of this year. She also stated how impressive season 3 plot is balancing between comedy and satire on the society.
Christian Post has already suggested that Joe Caputo, Black Cindy, Gloria Mendoza, Lorna Morello, Poussey, and Alex Vause will be features as regular cast on the show while some new characters are also expected midway through the episodes. Unfortunately, Pablo Schreibe, playing Pornstache Mendez, will have to depart from the show due to his commitments with other television series on HBO. Writers plan to rewrite his role or replace him with some other actor in the coming days.
